SCULPTURAL ART TO WEAR Working with two of man's oldest metals, bronze and pewter, fine gemstones, and found and recycled objects, Laurenn has created a collection of jewelry that is her celebration of our "Ancient Earth". Each piece is unique, specially designed and handcrafted by Laurenn and each is copywrited, numbered and signed by the artist. Gemstones have been gathered from locations around the world through Laurenn's travels. Each stone holds a special meaning for the artist as well as a special energy from the earth. Laurenn also incorporates gifts from the marine kingdom as well. This includes both saltwater and fresh water pearls and also exotic shells and ancient fossilized shells from once living creatures of the sea. In addition, to the "gift of land and sea", Laurenn is an avid environmentalist and actively seeks out opportunities to utilize recycled and found objects in her collection. Bronze tarnishes more easily than gold, therefore the "ancient earth" bronze is lacquered with a protective coating. If tarnish appears over time, pieces can be polished and/or cleaned with copper and brass cleaner. | ||
